Lake of the Pines Access

Lake of the Pines Access - 04/25/20 03:37 PM

With the State Parks and a lot of other places shutdown, Can anyone tell me of a good place to put in a boat on the south end of the lake next weekend? I live about an hour away and usually fish Caddo but was wanting a change of scenery, and I didn't want to spend a lot of time in the early morning looking for an open ramp.

Thanks in advance.

Brushy is open as well as the corps ramp on the other side of the dam.

They're all open. I launch out of Tejas cause it's free and the only ramp that can be that can be used at all water levels. The whole south end of the lake accessed from Tejas is pretty open to run, just North of Watts Island is a stump field but you can run by it on the East border.

The North end of the lake accessed from the Hwy. 155 ramp is probably the better fishing, but you've got to stay tight to the boat lanes and know the area. Still learning it myself.
