Lavon Boat ramps - 04/16/20 05:03 PM

I know most of the ramps at Lavon closed when the lake was about 8' high. Its now less than 3' high. Have any of the ramps reopened?

Lavonia, Highland, and I think Elm Creek or Elm Fork, whatever it's called, and of course Collin Park.

Gates are still open to some degree, but not wide open.

Still pushing 4100 cfs through the dam. Should be back to level by Saturday. I'll be curious to see if they remember to close the gates or if they just go ahead and drop the lake so the ramps aren't usable due to low water.

There’s no significant rain in the ten day forecast.
Plenty of homes still under construction in Collin County.
Hubbard is full.

Lavonia south is open but the courtesy dock has been dismantled . The floats are up in the parking lot .

The Corps of Engineers rarely does ANY maintenance at any of their parks at Lavon. Those floats will probably lay there forever. Twin Groves is the worst.
