Got a question for you abu guys. Maybe the older crowd[me included] got a Ambassduer Ulltra Mag II, 35 or so . yrs old.Anyone have idea of gear ratio. Want to get your thoughts on this. What gear ratio most of you like for use as jerkbait setup Thanks for imput.

Some were 4.7:1 and some were 5.3:1 depending on model. For a jerkbait I like a faster retrieve to take up slack quickly with the cadence of retrieve.

You can always turn the handle one full turn and count the revolutions of the spool. Haha.
