ALERT: April 1, 2020

For all Texas State Parks

You must now purchase a "Save the Day" pass online and print before you visit. Once the passes for that location are sold out for the day no more will be sold.

Wonder If this has any effect unloading at private boat ramps or just state parks ?

Private ramps are private, not affected by this.

I read that you still need to print the day pass. When you enter your info from your year pass it will be free.

Hows that going to work at Roberts.... all the ramps on the lake are managed by the state park but you only have the option to print save the day passes for IBD and Johnson. Been doing this for the last 2 weeks already since they stopped taking any cash. Talked to several people the last couple of weeks that just dont pay the ramp fee at all and havent been issued a citation. (State Park Ramps Outside the actual State Park). Wondering if they are even patrolling the out of park ramps right now with all of this going on.

Is this an April fools thing? Printed passes until they run out???

I talked to our local TPWD office about the annual pass last weekend, they said to call them with the days I was going & number of people and they’d give me a confirmation #. But maybe it changed today???

Do you still have to get a pass if you are a annual pass holder? It was hard to tell on the link above.

Ok, I called and spoke to a State Park Rep. They only let in a certain number of people to the State Parks, thats always been the norm. Those numbers have been shaved a little with the social distancing orders. They didn't have an answer for how to handle launching at the out of park ramps on Roberts if IDB and Johnson are sold out of day passes beyond suggesting that I purchase an annual park pass. So there you have it.
