Quesstion to ALL fishermen

Quesstion to ALL fishermen - 03/26/20 11:10 PM

I s\wish we could get on the lakes and feed our passion of fishing, but that4 might not happen for a while. my neighbor has a 30 acre lake that has some pretty good fish in it. It is a PRIVATE lake and I have permission to fish it. He has spent more than $12,ooo dollars to put some good fish in the lake I have the lake record at 813, so far. There have been several 10 lbers PUT into the lake by other people that have caught them elsewhere. My question to you is, do you want me to fish it, get some feedback on what is working or just screw that since not everyone has a place like this to fish. Our neighbor is an old cowboy that knows ALL of his stuff about ranching. He knows I love to cccatch fish and has allowed me to fish it whenever I wan to, so far. but I do not think he would mind me fishing it 2 or 3 days a week. Just a THOUGHT I had to share some reports, since they are almost dead

Tight lines, keep safe and good luck.

Thad Rains,

OH, I LIVE 18 miles from the neartt city, Post Tx. It is 4 miles to his ranch and then another mile to the lake.

If a majority of people want them, I can give quick reports of what was successful. Depends on what is wanted, THAT was the reason I made the posting the first pace, but I forgot it. SO, vote if you want to see reports on a hidden gem of a lake.

Lakes out west and southwest are busier during the week than I have ever seen.
Most of the rooms at Elm Creek were full the past two days while I was there.

Pipeliners and fisherman, enjoy the slime, seems to be getting worse.

Is that not the point of the freshwater report forum?

We actually had a good couple of days. No giants but a lot of 3.5 to 6 lbs.
Our best 5 yesterday about 24 lbs.

He had ponds all over and told me I could fish any of them anytime I wanted to and I did a lot. fish

That’s not happening everyday, sounds like you had a good trip.

Just go, who knows when you'll get a chance in the future.
If you catch big ones share some pictures to lift the spirit of those that are quarantined.
Just go.

Thad, Please fish and report. Take a look at all the threads started in the BASS FISHING forum that are about batteries, trailers, trucks, on and on.

thanks for the feedback everyone. I was going to fish, but try to pick a day that the wind is not blowing 30 to 40 or ver. Good this morning while we were healping our neighbor this his cattle, but not after we got thru. It is howling now. The next 3 days are forecasting winds from 25 to 45, so I will have to pick my moments. ONLYI time it was not blowing was the time we helped our neighbor with his cattle all over our place. Living on a ranch, there is NEVER something to do, always can be doing something, I will add fishing a little bit to my list. He said come fish and give me a report. Yesterday, he got on a bunch of crappie and a few bass, but nothing over 3.5 lbs. Tight lines, keep safe and good luck. TAKE PHOTOS, I got it.

Thad Rains

NO fishing yesterday, today, Sunday or Monday. Winds at 40 plus every day except yesterday and it was 37. 43 today. THAT is in MPH.
