Lost boat on Cedar Creek - 03/24/20 12:18 AM

Hey guys if any of you live or fish Cedar Creek my sons boat apparently drifted out of boat lift sometime last week. He was down there fishing with his friends. It is 1984 Hydrosports 17ft with 150 mercury on it. I will post a photo of what it looks like soon. The bimini was currently not on the boat when it disappeared and the seats are different than the photo. Thanks for any info

Next question did it have auto bilge pump. We got a lot of rain might be on bottom of lake.

Manual bilge. This is what I was afraid might have happened. I think the lake rose with the rain and the boat came out of straps and floated off.

It is not that uncommon for notices of found boats to show up on local social media around CC.

Does Cedar Creek have a lake patrol? Or is it just the game wardens? I would contact them.

They have a coast guard auxiliary. It may be a good idea to call them. No lake patrol, every town around there is too poor for that.

exactawheel someone just posted on Nextdoor that a boat that fits your description has been found. It is on the bank in Wildwood Acres. I'm trying to get a better description of it's location and/or a phone number for you. The pictures they posted match yours.

Don't know if this is what happened but I heard that thieves will pull a boat out of a slip, tow it out to open water and steal what they can and then just leave it adrift. Rumors were from CC.

I hope that this is not what happened and all is well.

Might explain why the trolling motor is like that.
