Nacogdoches

Lake Nacogdoches used to be a lake known for big bass. While an old lake it proves that any lake-any day can show up. Kinda like someone catching a 16lber on Possum Kingdom right?

I interviewed the young man. The bass was caught on spinning gear, 20 pound braid, 15 fluorocarbon leader and a wacky rigged Senko. Needless to say, quite the fight.

Yesterday was crowded like a weekend. I left at 11:50 14 trailers at the east ramp.

It won’t last everyone was struggling as far as I heard.

It's always crowded in spring.

I heard that when the first SAL was caught. I heard that after the infamous Major League Fishing telecast. The truth is, this will blow over after the spawn and you will be able to spend a day on Lake Nac and maybe only see a few boats.

Ya it'll thin out once guys realize you can't just go out and catch big ones. It takes years to dial that place in

Ummm. I’ve been here for a month it’s never been this crowded on any weekdays ever.

All last week, there were 1-4 other boats average.

Saturday when she was caught there was only 5 vehicles in the West Park parking lot and 2 of those were Yak Fishermen.

10-4 hahaha. It’s just because it’s spring.

Yup.... When I caught the last sharelunker in 2007 it got packed for a couple months also. Until it gets hot, then it's a ghost town especially during the week

I have heard reports of full parking lots the last couple days.

They interviewed a guy that caught a 13.03 SAL there in 1989.

Pretty common when I lived there. Was there 1997 to 2011 and sporadically since. When I was there we'd go a few times a week. Every year the pressure was similar, heavy in spring then fell off. The slot was different back then too

I'm sure I saw you there a few times then.

Not even a slot anymore just under 16" for the RIG people.

Congrats to angler. We fished the lake this past October and it very good. I have fished this lake since it open and the fish were healthier than I have seen in a long time. We caught 84 fish and they were some of the best fish I have seen in a long time from the lake. There was good grass and tons of shad. I guess the spray ring haven't been there in awhile.
