Squaw Report

My father and I spent the day at squaw. We fished shallow, we fished deep, we fished up river, we fished down by the dam. Mostly threw plastics, and we caught 2 lbers everywhere we went. I cant even find a 3 lber out there.

I did catch something unusual though.

Log perch on sterioids?

That lake is ruined. Done.

I've got to go out there one more time for our club tournament. Hopefully don't have to go back there after that.

Huddleston Perch

Same here. After this Sunday I look forward to not driving 2 hours and not spending $30. Squaw is unique but so is Fork. If I'm going to drive for two hours I'd the change to catch quality fish.

It's a $27 bait. Currently sold out direct from Huddelston. But if that hook is rusted, then it's worthless.

That bait is USELESS at squaw. Ain’t no 1-1/2 pounder gonna eat that.

I think it is a blast to fish there. Not many lakes you can go to in the winter and catch 50 2 lbers. Or for the summer for that matter.
I like to catch bigguns as mauch as the next guy but anyone who thinks that catching a ton of 2 lbers a day should quit and take up golf.

We caught several 4's and a 5 along with tons of 1-3's a couple weeks ago. That lake ain't near done! Not what it was but certainly a blast to fish.
