Thinking about heading out there. I assume it will be difficult.

Any thoughts on patterns?

Yes, get on Preston Road and go North to Lake Texoma

I wouldn't waste my time on that lake this time of year

Looking forward to getting out to Ray Bob this week. Next couple of months can be great out there, might even catch a giant! Reaction baits and a million casts, those fish you catch will be good ones!

Fishing was great out there last winter. Some folks just aren't very good at wintertime fishing.

Caught some good ones on Saturday. Found them at 20' and found them in the dirt. Shad, shad, shad... A-rigs, split shot flukes....

Took a while. Finally caught 4 to wrap the day. Missing an additional 6 bites.

Pattern for us was red rattletrap fished slow on rock. Or hopping a jig /trig craw.

Good luck.

Fished 5 hrs out there yesterday. I “think” I got one bite. Lol. Spoke to a few at the boat ramp that had the same experience.

Just to pass it on. There was a school on the rocks right here beside the long lay down. Merry Christmas.

Just got back from Roberts...went out mainly to run the boat but did manage a couple 2 to 3 #'ers on a square bill. Water temp 51. Only on the water about 1.5 hours. Nice day on the lake.

Fished 4-5 hours, temps were 52-56 degrees. We boated 8 fish, partner had a giant come unbuttoned at the boat. Never seen an algae bloom this time of year like what’s going on in some places out there, the water is GREEN.. 8-9 bites in 4-5 hours on a cold water lake this time of year isn’t horrible, but it was definitely slower than expected on the tail end of a warming trend.

We went yesteerday for a few hours and once we found clean water it was decent. Had a 6.5 pounder on the 5th cast after not being on the lake since August. It was a fun trip and nice to know I still remember how to cast.
