Cold Water Lake Reports.. lets hear em! - 12/03/19 06:10 PM
I know some of yall had to of hit some cold water lakes over the long holiday weekend.... where did you go and how did you do?
I only managed to fish one day, Saturday afternoon on Lake Worth from about 1:30pm till dark 30. Lots of trailers at the ramp when I launched but only saw 2 boats once on the water, that was a welcome relief. Water temps were 58-60 degrees but you'd have never guessed it by how aggressive the fish were. The best numbers day I've ever had on this lake and I fish it A LOT, boated 50+ fish in a little under 4 hours of fishing time. Lots of solid 1.5-3lb chunks with a couple pushing 4 mixed in. It was like a Squaw Creek day only there was no line, it didn't cost $30 to launch, I could stay as long as I wanted, and all 50+ fish were in less than 8' of water.
Also saw the results of the Black Friday Eagle Mountain tournament, 4 or 5 bags over 17 lbs and guys reporting 15+ keepers... pretty darn strong!
