Look into Alpha Angler, they are great spinning rods.
Dobyns DX a little over $300 but we'll worth it.

I would say the Shimano Zodias is one of the best rods you can get for under $300 and they run only $200. I would say the only negative is there is no hook keeper and the warranty is only 1 year. Ive been using them for 3 years now and have yet to break one or have an issue with the eye or guides. They are amazing. The Shimano Expride is pretty dang amazing too.

Shimano Pro Green. If I'm spending in $300 range, I'm making sure its salt water rated for double duty. Same with reels.

I wouldn't give $300 for a semi load of them.

Dobyns SSM 703 SF... I think they retail for $169. Hands down my favorite spinning rod!

Have an experienced rod builder build one for you. There are ZERO factory rods out there that can compare to a custom built rod that is built for a specific use. And the truth of the matter is that you'll likely come out cheaper.
