Haven't seen him in years but I always enjoyed his shows and opinions. RIP and prayers for family and friends.

A lot of the "old standbys" are getting up in age .....

Bill Dance
Roland Martin
Rick Clunn

Unfortunately we are going to lose more in the coming years .......

i always like the Jerry was a multi species guy, fly fishing in Canada one week, white bass in Arkansas the next, i vacationed on the Canada-US border one year as a direct result of watching McKinnis & Bobby Knight fish those waters, i learned a lot about fishing & people from him

Happy day!!!! Loved his show and his personality. Kinda the Hank Parker persona. Who wouldn’t like him or want to go fish or hunt with him? On to better times!

Showing my age but I used to fish his weekly jackpots on Lake Maumelle years ago. Always had a great time whether I caught fish or not.

Also fished those spacejunkie, First tournaments I fished. I remember waiting around after a tournament once and watching Jerry demo how to fish a brand new lure. A Zara Spook. Bought one, but never caught a bass on it until I moved to Texas.

Re: Jerry McKinnis - 11/08/19 05:22 PM

I posted his obituary on my Facebook page a few days ago, re posting for those that might have not seen. The first of two services will be this afternoon in Little Rock, AR to be followed by one on Monday in Flippin, AR. No doubt the dress attire will be jeans as he would have wanted.

Ah the memories of Saturday mornings watching "The Fishin Hole".
