Should the bump board always be dipped in the water no matter if it’s hot or cold out?

That’s what I thought. I had a guy see me wet the board this weekend and he told me I didn’t have to since it’s cool outside.

The fish is wet, that'll wet the board for ya in cool weather..... roflmao

I'm not perfect... I typically don't wet the board unless it is warm. Then again, I do t usually need to use it that much! Too obvious with the drinks I catch that they ain't keepers!

Same here...keep the board wet to save as much slime coat as possible.

That board isn’t gonna remove any more slime than the boat flip and flopping around on the floor does.

I've never dipped my board in the water before measuring a fish. And I don't think I've ever been in the boat with someone that does either.
