This was the best of the three shows they've aired so far. Enjoyed the multi lake deal.

I can go down the bank catching dinks and luck into a big one. Doesn't prove it's not a dink fest. It proves that they hit a good time of year and managed to catch a good one or two. Cool thing with BASS, they try to bring 5 of those in each.

the show yesterday was certainly no dink fest...when was last time you saw several 6lb and an 8lb fish being hooked and landed on a TV tournament show?.....
compared to previous B.A.S.S./FLW tournament shows in previous years, this was a huge increase in television exposure for all of the fishermen as opposed to previous shows where only the top two or three got any TV time....this show was 2 hours in length on the discovery channel...it not only showed every fisherman but it did close up TV shots giving the fisherman's sponsor TV exposure and also showing the boats and engines they use...
this increased TV coverage is of tremendous value to pro fishermen and their sponsors...….something else that really hasn't been discussed is that MLF is providing quality entertainment for several networks that need programming...….almost all of the TV channels run 24/7 and if you watch much of the outdoor channels, you will note that they run the same shows several times per week then come back 6 months later and run them multiple times again...obviously there is a demand for quality outdoor shows and it appears that Boyd Duckett/Gary Klein and others had the foresight to provide it with MLF....

I'm going to say earlier this year when the BASS shows aired for fork, guntersville, st. John's, maybe I'm forgetting a few too.

I must have missed them. When were they on? I record all the MFL but they must have changed the title.

I support them and guess what ? It is a dink fest. They even know it because they took average fish size off their scoretracker. Rather than get defensive they should state the reality it is a different format and a different game and there is nothing wrong with it.

After I sent them a text message that everyone watching knows how to divide total pounds by number of fish to get average size. The only thing they were doing is taking up real estate that could be better used. For those who are weak at math, there is a calculator on their smart phone.

They're airing on Discovery Channel. I think it's airing early in the mornings, like 6:00 am

Yes there is a calculator on peoples phones, but the point remains the same, they would not take it off if they were not trying to hide it. And they did not put anything in place of it. Again I support them, but this is an example of them trying to hide being a numbers vs. size tournament trail. I am ok with it being a numbers game, just do not pretend it is not, because all the stats prove otherwise.

You know all it would take is a column that tracks all anglers best 5. They could pay the winner of best 5 just like big bass as a side deal. I think that would cure a lot of peoples dislike of the format. Just my .02
