Black Bass Boat Carpet

If you have black carpet in your boat does it get hot when the sun is out? Looking at getting a new black boat with black carpet and seats.

Yes. I had one once and never again.

Yes, all black will be hot. White top caps and light carpet is the way to go in my opinion.

not to mention it will show a lot of dirt

I had a navy blue and gold Nitro that looked great on the trailer but in the summer was so hot that I hated going out on a sunny summer day. I now have a white capped boat that is much cooler. I don’t miss that navy blue boat in the summer.

At one time I had a 96 Skeeter that was green/black and I put black carpet in it... it was so miserably hot. I ended up selling the boat not long later mainly because of the carpet. Not only was it scorching hot in the summer, it was impossible to keep clean.

Summer sun and black anything don’t mix well.

Charcoal Gray is not bad, but those metal lid handles burn!!!!

I have dark gray and would kill to have tan boat carpet. Its so much nicer in the summer.

Probably would be fine nine months of the year. June, July & Aug, it's gonna be a bear tho.

Mine is dark grey. I don't notice it being hotter but it sure gets nasty looking fast.
