Any tips for the Upper Illinois River above Tahlequah? Going on a float trip next week

I went to college in Tahlequah and spend a lot of time on that river. I always had luck with a shaky head in the deeper pools and small squarebills down the rapids where they dump into a littler deeper spot. I would also check out the Barren Fork river if you have the time. It's a little smaller than the Illinois but it's got some good quality

I have fished there many times. I always have a 2" white grub and a 2" chartreuse grub ready. They will both always catch fish
