Underspin Setup

I always have a swimbait tied on and would like to get a little more specialized with it.

What is everyone's favorite rod/line for primarily 1/4oz - 3/8oz under spins with 3.8" paddle tails?

Rods in the Dobyns line would be preferred.

I throw mine on a 7’ Falcon Lowrider. MH/F. A little softer tip will allow you to cast it farther but too soft will lessen your hook up percentage.

Dobyns - I would think 703 or 733 would be the ticket.

Dobyns 734C 12-17 pound flouro depending on cover/hook size and whether open hook or rigged weedless

I use a Dobyns Champion 734C SH w/ a 6.4:1 reel spooled w/ 15# Seaguar Invizx. That'll pull a Double Z Custom Lures 4.25" Swayback Swimmer on a Lazyman Hooks 5/0, 3/16 oz swimbait hook with Colorado blade all day long.

My favorite is a G Loomis E6X 7' Medium, Stradic CI4+ 2500, 16 lb Sunline Sniper Braid, 10 lb Flouro leader.
