What would you do?

Got alittle extra money to waste...looking at buying a ultrex or a 12" graph. For guys that already have both which 1 do you think helps you catch more fish?

Best money invested in my boat was the trolling motor with the ability to anchor in place, mines an Xi5 but I’d say easily the ultrex over the graph.

trolling motor! heck i have a basic $300 front graph but $1300 trolling motor lol

Without a doubt it would be an ultrex.

you can't buy an ultrex for $1300. but if I were you I'd wait a couple of months and spend 3 grand plus installation and get a ghost.

and actually I am waiting until October to get the newest technology.

Anchoring tm is more practical than 12” graphs

Fishing gear does start to go on deep clearance mid Nov to March

If you wait a little bit, you might be able to get both

buy the ultrex best invention in fishing why pay more for a product an be the test dummy for way more money

Yea I dont think I'm gonna go with 1st gen. Ghost even though I got lowrance graphs. Give them some time to work the bugs out!

Kinda depends on what you trolling motor and electronics you already have before anyone could logically answer that question.

If you already have a Terrova iPilot and a POS electronics id say 12"

If you have a 10" Solix DI and a POS TM id say an Ultrex.

Depends on what you have to work with now. What kind of trolling motor and graphs are you currently running?

IMO the order of importance as far as helping ME catch fish:

1. Good Map Chip or software to stay on offshore structure
2. Spot-Lock

and a distant #3

3. Graph

Ultrex and a Garmin 93SV, you won't regret it.

I've got 2 lowrance ti2 7" and a fourtex which is a good trolling motor just doesnt have spot lock on it which would help alot while offshore fishing so I dont drift off my spot while unhooking a fish etc......

I would get the Ultrex 1st if it were me and that is exactly what I did.

I feel like I would gain more from the spot lock. There has been a bunch of times this summer I've graphed over a hump or a point never seen what I though was a school of bass but see alot of bait fish so I fished it anyways and caught bass. But as soon as I drift off the spot I was catching them for what ever reason I quit catching them. I use to drop a buoy but for some reason I can't keep them in the boat

The Ultrex is one amazing trolling motor...it was tops on my list and it hasn't disappointed...

You can get by with a smaller graph.

yeah I'd definitely go with the Ultrex for now. You'll use spot lock every trip out

Ultrex, without a doubt. Best investment you can make for your boat.

An Ultrex and a good set of rain gear are the two best things I have purchased.
