Lake Palestine Advice Please

Lake Palestine Advice Please - 08/04/19 11:46 PM

We are thinking about a trip over to Lake Palestine and have a few of the standard questions:

What boat launches are recommended (or which ones should I avoid)?
Are there any areas on the lake to avoid running on plane (not visible hazards)?
How about a good place on the lake for lunch?

Any other advice is appreciated. Thanks

Ramps- The villages Marina , Palestine resort, public ramp in flat creek, public ramp by the dam are all good. This is in my opinion the most dangerous lake in the state to run. The safest place is on the south end by the dam. Just search lake Palestine on this forum and yoU can get more info on where you can run, but there is non visible timber all of the lake.

You can get a map chip for running lanes, just search this site for it. villages, lake Palestine resort and the dam are all good ramps. Villages and lake Palestine resort both have good lunch, I prefer the resort though.

Running the lake is tough if you don't know where to run. I highly recommend the map chip.
