“Dual purpose” batteries are not the BEST battery for starting or deep cycling but they are the best(only) choice when combining the two roles of starting(high amps) and running electronics all day(deep cycling). The Duracell so many purchase @ Sams is “dual purpose”. Excellent value:

The Duracell is a great battery but you should check your motors minimum cca requirements. For example, a 250proxs needs 1000 minimum I think. So once you add electronics, pumps, poles etc all day you definitely won't have that 1000 available. We ran into this problem. We use the Duracell 31 AGM strictly for trolling motor batteries and the Odyssey pc2150 for a dual purpose. It's pricey but the best pure lead battery made. Another option much cheaper is the exide megacycle 31 AGM. Ran it for a year no issues.

I've run a Deka 27 on my 250 SHO and all electronics for the last year and zero issues. Next time I will jump to a group 31.
Where are you guys getting the odsseys from ?
Thanks ! Looks like Auto zone is a dealer.

Dual purpose is really your only option unless you are going to either move your electronics to your trolling motor batteries or add another just for the electronics. Even then your livewells...are factory wired to the starting battery. Dual purpose batteries are not the optimal choice but work fine.

Not sure but I'd want 1100+ cca atleast with any big motor plus accessories
I would go with a Deka Marine. They are extremely reliable, I have never had an issue

Duracell
Deka Intimidator
Both high quality batteries made by East Penn.
Duracell group 31 AGM from Sams $180 and an 18 month warranty. Pretty good deal. Sams has also been known to put it on sale from time to time.

How much is that North Star?
This is another high quality battery.
Mercury 250 Pro XS does not seem to like the group 31 Interstate. Thinking about giving the Northstar a shot.

https://www.batteriesplus.com/productdetails/sli31agmdpmBatteries +
Group 31 Marine AGM
48 month warranty (yes 4 years)
Largest reserve capacity
BEAST OF A BATTERY!!!
I can sell you a lithium 100ah for 799 shipped 120ah for 949 shipped, A standard agm charger will charge either and it will outperform all the batteries above by leaps and bounds.
If you fish every single day and re charge then they will last you 10 years.
