Going to try Athens for the first time Thursday. Is most of the lake safe to run? Anything special I need to know (hazards, ramps, etc)

It was HOT this afternoon. Caught a few on flukes outside the grass and a few on a frog as the sun set. Saw a some schooling fish late.

Restaurant opened back up? What is the name? Guess it has been too long since I have been to Athens.

How’s the fishing been after dark ? To hot during the day thought might give it a whirl.

WHAT?!? The food in the new restaurant is fanstastic! Been there about 10-15 times now and it is great! I dont know what your trying to compare it to, but to have a restaurant right on the lake you can literally beach your boat up to and walk to eat. Its a winner

just having food on the lake does not make it GOOD.
as an Athens resident for many many years ……. I would love for the restaurant to be good.
Not many places to eat in Athens ……..
…. but as a person that works in the foodservice industry, this place is very sub-par.
