I saw it on FB earlier and thought well old Earl Bentz is back in business! cheers

Looks okay from the pics I have seen but will hold off any judgement good or bad until they actually have some to look at. flag

I've only seen a few pics and read a little. They have a true pressurized livewell like the offshore boats. Looks like a pretty nice boat

Is it me, or does the front deck seem to narrow up pretty quickly?

This is the one I was interested in until I saw the price tag.

He's back!

Bentz got more boat business comebacks than Billy Martin had manager jobs with the Yankees. grin

Their salt line looks nice but that bow flair makes it look like a pretty wet ride. Like the old hydrwaves before they fixed it.

Looks like a nitro Skeeter lol. Not very aesthetically pleasing in my opinion

Bentz knows the boat business. If he is behind it I am sure it will be a great product. thumb

Wonder what the price on the bass boat is gonna be?

This and Vexxus are ugly as sin.

I hope they are not settling the trend moving forward.

This^^^^^ Bentz sure is a fantastic builder and knows what he’s doing but I’m having a hard time with the Caymas and especially the Vexus aesthetically.

They could have done better with the design lines of the paint job but other than that it's not a bad looking boat. Looks like it will be really functional

If Earl Bentz had any input it will be a swift ride.

Three years ago at Tulsa Bassmaster Classic, asked him what he was driving now days. Said he was doing lots of saltwater fishing off east coast in a boat that had tri or quad (can't remember) Mercury 300's. So he still likes his power and speed.

Probably outrageously over piced like the rest of them.

Maybe just me but don’t y’all think all the manufacturers should start producing their boats to be “ugly as sin” so that they will match the new motors that are being strapped onto them?

Re: Caymas Bass Boats - 06/30/19 03:20 AM

I went to the Caymas factory back in early May and sat in one of the very first ones they produced. Slick boat, and is not narrow. It had a 15" lowrance glassed into the bow. Seats, drainage, transom, and livewells all have special upgrades to them.

Factory was top notch and they are actually upgrading that too.

I think Earl said the 21 footer would run right at 80 loaded down with a 250 Merc on them.

In my mind, they kind of look like a hybrid of a hydrosport and a stratos.

Another boat company to go out of business is what I see.

Re: Caymas Bass Boats - 07/01/19 12:56 AM

Skeeter hull on back, looks like hybrid skeeter seats with skeeter steering wheel on Triton cap with a Nitro console. My guess is everyone who's built a boat past or present is going to try to jump in bassboat market. Good luck with that.

OK Folks - I am willing to bet a large sum of money on it, but that's the old Bumblebee Hull. A few tweaks in the top cap, but take it from someone who owned one for years. Looks just like the 2100 prosport I used to own. Plus the Bumble Bee home is not far from where the Caymas are made.
