Beautiful bass work there and congratulations on a fine catch . No telling how much bigger it will get . As long as there is plenty smaller fish for it to eat the bigger it will get . I just watched a Bill Dance show yesterday and he had a section about how big bass can grow and what he said I never thought in the way he put it . But he said a two yr old bass can be a 6-lber or a 2lber . He said it all depends on food source and plenty of it . The bigger the food source the bigger a bass will grow .
Very true. Our lake is 15 acre with a max depth of 40Ft. We let the baitfish spawn before we stocked 1000 bass. We also have added about 10,000 threadfins and this year we will start putting in gizzards. We didn't stock with any other sport fish. This yr our goal is remove approx 300' bass 18" or smaller. Its a work in progress but so far its been the most fun. This yr I have caught a 9.8, 10.25, 10 as my three biggest. Had one pop off that looked to be 12+ but then again they all look several pounds bigger when you lose one. Have caught several in the 6-8 pound range this yr as well. Hoping by this fall I will catch a 12+, that would be icing on the cake.
