Go by Fun N Sun and check out the MajorCraft series of rods. You will find a jerkbait rod there from one of the four series at a great price.

Agree with this. At a higher price point the LPC 470 is excellent as well.

Megabass Levante Jerkbait Special is a great choice and well within your price range.
I like a Kistler light medium Heavy in whatever length you like, mine is a 6'10" I believe.

I use a Daiwa Cronos, 7' medium light. Very light rod and my only complaint is the rod doesn't have a hook keeper on it.
