Frustrations with Joe Pool and work buddy - 03/30/19 01:45 PM

So last Sunday I spent 6 hours fishing on Joe Pool. Temps was 59 main lake and 63-65 in the coves.
I tried several coves and creeks and banks started at 10ft worked to the back throwing into 1 foot.
I tried worms, creature baits, spinner baits, traps, fast slow ect. I couldn't buy a bite to save my life.
So my work buddy that was fishing with me, invites my bosses boss (president of the company) to fish on my boat with us this Sunday!!!!
I know its going to be tough this Sunday with the cold front coming in Sat night and Sunday morning.. Not looking for any spots, just looking for some advise
so I can put the boss man on a few fish so I don't have to drown my buddy for inviting the boss when fishing is tough.

Any help would be appreciated guys.

I would stay on North banks around some cover. The fish should be def transitioning to some shallower water. I know people who catch bass year around near the bridges (rip rap/concrete) areas, might be worth cranking those areas (depending on the wind). I've generally done better on the Britton side (arm). Good luck!

Yea, with this front I'm opting to drive out to my inlaws farm around Paris and fish their pond tomorrow. Pond only gets fished a dozen times a year so always has fish but most are 1-2lbs. As to Pool, I fished for a couple of hours on Tues evening and only got one bass and it was small right at sundown. Caught a few sand bass schooling by the main turn to the south. Birds led me to those. I got bit on the first cast on a C-rig off a north side hump and thought it was going to be a good night. Surprised they aren't as active as I expected. I always catch fish this time of year, but this weather has been crazy. Hopefully once this front clears up it will get better. BTW, my boat is at Lynn Creek on a lift, so I usually fish short stints like 5 to sundown. Saturdays are a train wreck there. I have a couple of buddies I fish with, but with everyone's schedule I go by myself 1/2 the time anyway. If you're interested, PM me. One caution, my boat is a 20' Skeeter CC so if you only want to fish out of a bass boat, mines not it.

My advice would be to drown your work buddy for not telling you ahead of time that he was inviting the boss to your boat.

Well it went better than I expected, 5 fish mostly out of 7-8 foot. Biggest one was 3.5 slow bit with the front that came in .
But I wanted to give a big thanks to you guys for the advice!
