Has anyone been out to Lake Davy Crockett in Honey Grove lately? Any tips would be much appreciated for some fun fishing.

Lots of grass, you will have time to fish all over the lake. Should be good!

What's the water clarity like lately? Last time I was there it was pretty stained and there were tons of lilies but not a lot of grass...

Pretty good rain that went through a couple days ago, probably still pretty stained, I caught some on a black/blue chatter bait and red rattle trap last time.

I’ve been there 4 times. Monster bass .
It’s very shallow the max is maybe ten feet .
The first point north of the dam holds the monsters . Drop a big worm or big plastic Swimbait .
I caught most of my bass in front of the concrete dam
I would crankbait it . You’ll find the Shad there .
And also the creek that comes in from the southeast is good.
Probably fish a buzzbait or a Chatterbait over the weeds in front of the mouth of the creek.
And you will probably not get any cell phone service.
So be prepared for that and letting someone know you’re there because my battery died there one time and I had to flag someone down off the road . Have fun and let me know how it goes

I went there yesterday and got skunked. Water was chocolate milk, all the fish I saw on the graph were suspended in 20 ft. I’m gunna try to get back out there soon and hopefully have better luck.
