Heavy Flourocarbon / Copoly

I mostly use 15lb invisix for most of my fishing. I'm headed to falcon next week and want to step up to 20 and 25lb. What are you guys using and where do you get it. My academy usually doesn't have anything over 17.
I've also heard a bunch of guys swear by McCoys Mean Green Copoly. Would you use it for spinnerbaits and T-rigs? How's the stretch and sensitivity?

I’d use 20lb fluoro at Falcon—I’m cheap, so I get 20lb Red Label at Wmart. Some Wmarts carry Invisx also.
McCoys is great for moving bait applications. BPS routinely carries it
12lb McCoys on cranks and spinnerbaits at Falcon. Could go up to 15lb for spinnerbaits if you want to get two spools

Invisx is great for open water, but red label or abrasinx is much better for pitching and fishing around brush, trees, and objects in the water.

After hearing Rick Clunn talk about the way big bass nick up fluoro, I’m going back to more co-poly.

Red Label for me, either way I'm constantly checking my line and retying...

I use 17 and 20# McCoys Mean Green, even for Falcon. GOOD or GREAT STOUT line and is very abrasion resistant. 20# should be good, but go with what you think is best. Hope this helps. Tight lines, keep safe and good luck.

Marc, pros and cons of co-poly if you dont mind sir?

I am not Marc, but I can answer your question. Copoly, I use McCoys Mean Green, has VERY little memory, VERY STRONG and VERY ABRASION resistant. Con's, it has a little bit too much stretch for me for C-rigs.. I LOVE the stuff and have all my reels lined with it. Picked it up in 2000 and been using it every sense. Marc will probably have some similar and different observations. Hope this helps.

Went to Mexico last month and used 20 lb McCoys co polymer and had no problems. Fished for 7 days, I did change it out about every 3 days cause of the rough brush and rock.

McCoys is great copoly at a good price point. Short of changing out nicked up line it lasts a long time time on your reel(limited memory), behaves well and is very tough. Kinda hard to find in stores but buy it online in larger spools.

If you have never tried McCoy's, I would recommend trying the 15 lb. It does stretch, but it is similar to a tow strap. It will yank a 3 lb fish airborn on the recoil. I don't know how many smaller fish I fly over the boat flipping with the stuff. That stretch is not your enemy, and the strength is incredible.

Pros--I think it is the strongest line I have ever used. Very low stretch and good abrasion resistance.
Cons--It retains a pretty good bit of memory and the line diameter is larger than most other lines in the same pound test so choose it by its diameter, not by what pound test is listed on the box for the technique you are going to use it for.
I use a lot of it in 15# and less.

McCoys Mean green is also a good co-polymer line. I like it for moving baits. It is strong and has low memory.
