Welp yesterday evening I made myself fish open water. Found a hump out in 20’ of water and caught fish. Then found a tapering point about 25’ of water and caught fish there. Have to force myself to do it. Pretty hard not to be beating tha bank per say.

Creek channel bends, humps, points and tight contour lines are good places to start looking for fish when out deep..

Good job. You'll catch more and bigger fish offshore this time of year if you're fishing 1-6PM

Start catching them off shore and watch the boats slow down as they go by. I've had'em actually stop and watch. Make sure you have a rattle trap tied on and start throwing it when that happens. grin
