What do you do about the transducer cord when you use your own transducer? The way this thing is designed you cant secure the cord to the shaft. What have you guys come up with?

That air hose is a really good idea. I've been thinking about an Xi5 and this problem was weighing on my decision since I have 'Birds. My current trolling motor is a Motorguide and its been a real trouper.
I wonder if you strap that air hose down if you could cut it with a dremel cutter? Might be easier than a box cutter!

I tried the coil and it wasn't that good for me. I came up with a spring hinge that works better for me. See pictures on this post.
