It's northern bass guys. Totally different from a southern fish. VERY old dense fish from all that cold up there. That fish is probably 20 years old and it's bones age like tree rings. That all stacks up over time for added weight. Easy 8.

I'm stuck up north for a few more months. Been a tough year bass wise, 5lbs is probably my heaviest YTD. (Mind you the season has only been open for 2 months). I did catch a donkey musky last weekend. My selfie game is not good.

I haven't got to fish much until recently so this is my biggest as of 2018. Will fish much more come fall, traditionally for me that's when I catch my bigger fish.

This was caught on Santuit located on cape cod. White swim jig with paddle tail swimbait. Threw up on the bank next to a large log. Swam it down the log and half way this fish hammered it. Little over 7 pounds, big fish for up here.

Man! You have no idea. This one was barely 8. 5 minutes before this one, my partner lost a true GIANT. Easy DD. I was done...spent....hot....exasperated.....frustrated....you name it. He lost that one, and we got to see it. It motivated me to not give up. Then WHAM! This one absolutely blew up on the frog through some dense pads. It came all the way out of the water and made my part easy. Both hooks in the roof of the mouth. It was a long day of catching nothing but slots. 17",18"19".....

Got second because I couldn't catch one little fish. Only needed ounces for the whole shebang.
