3 or 4 Blade Prop for 21’ Evinrude 200 - 07/03/18 06:10 PM

Need a new prop for 98 Stratos w/Evinrude 200. Current Prop is 4 blade 13.25 x 27. Should I get same or go to 3 blade and if 3 what size?

Get the same. A four blade "shooter" 27 P worked slightly and doubled cupped is the way to go with that rig.
I had a 94 201Pro XL with a 200 XP and would get low 70's out of that set up with a 6" jack plate 2"3/4 below trim line. thumb peep

3 blade and 23 pitch, 25 pitch at most. What speed at WOT and how many RPMs? I'd be shocked if that set up will turn a 27 pitch.

Well, forget my comments then. I can't believe a 200 horse turns a 27 pitch well.

The old OMC Shooter props are small diameter 13.25" which makes them turn like a smaller wheel versus a Yam VMAX SHO prop at 15 1/8" diameter.

I’d throw a 24p raker on there. You’ll be real close.

I ran a 26raker on my 95 201 with a 200.. it ran well..

tried a 25 tempest but would blow out even plugged

The 25 renegade ran ok, wasn’t as fast as the 26raker but a little quicker out the hole but being a 25 the rpm were a little to high at wot
