Skeeter - Yamaha - Hummingbird??

Anyone else hear that starting in 2019 skeeter now comes with hummingbird instead of Lowrance?

Supposedly new colors and a new model also other than ZX and FX.

Yes. Humminbirds are standard. Ultrex standard on FX and a new model called an Apex. It will be the top of the line.

Awesome another boat I can’t afford lol! Ultrex is pretty much standard option now most 225/250s are price with one since that’s what everyone wants

I think I heard this at Diamond Sports at Fork. I just bought their last 2018 FX20LE in Oxblood. Great color if you are an Aggie.
I would have no problem with birds as long as they were the top line charts. I used to have Humminbird but since I went with Lowrance, I like them better. I put 2 -12" Carbons on this boat, and can't wait to get it on the water.
By the way, J&J is a new Falcon dealer. They will have four new ones in about 2-3 weeks. I looked at some elsewhere. They are a plain looking boat but very wide (99") and have all of the horns, whistles, and bells.
But I got the Skeeter I wanted.
The boat dealers are going to sell a lot of boats for the next two years!

Yes, yank those Lowrance units out...………………….you can have humminbirds that show 926' feet while in 7 feet of water unless you know how to manipulate the units to read correctly…………..(BBC post).

As a added bonus...………….you can get double or triple returns while in 10' or less water. All for the small price of $8,000.000 (unless you know the manipulations

Customize a FX, ( not the LE, no customizing those )color, electronics, hydraulics, etc. and you'll end up north of $90,000. Try it on their website.

I'm still not impressed with anything they have done especially the FX Models since 2016.

Just dreamin'.....been looking for the right boat for me but it's just not out there right now. Hunt is still on. I think I would prolly choke myself to death if I went out and spent $80K on a toy that only I get the pleasure of using. My wife would maybe go twice, maybe.....

I don't like the limited color options, they suck Imo.....
It's so limited that everyone's boats eventually will "ALL" look the same.
For that much $$$$cashola, I want it the way I want it, NOT their offerings...that's BS.....

I understand the Apex deal, I have a limited edition BMC boat, all 18 were exactly the same. But, to have very little say in the colors for the FX, ZX etc.... Nope, don't like that, just say'n.

Cool boats and just like expensive cars and other toys, somebody can and will pay $100K+ for a bass boat, just won't be me

pretty much everything manufacturers do is to make it more simple an less folks to deal with on the oem side they can buy depthfinders battery chargers an trolling motors from one company which gives them more buying power an makes them more important to the supplier.

you can custom order colors on the FX boats. The Limited Editions are the package boats.

Go back 10 years Billy...same back then... you could order ZX boats to your liking but not SX boats. Same process, different boats.

when I bought my '16 LE I didn't think you could custom order colors on a FX? Maybe I'm mistaken but that's what I remember being told.

Ive seen the Apex boat and its kinda blah, in my opinion.

But KD is right, you can still order a FX custom. Its called the FX Select.

Personally, I don't think Skeeter should lock in on any electronics. But leave that an open option. Cause everyone is different on that.

I know Kelly, it just gets my Irish up knowing the customer is getting the short end of the deal...
It shouldn't be a big deal to choose your preferred color scheme... Oh --- it is now if you have the $$

I don't like being told what color to buy either. Im also not a fan of "Skittle" colored boats either. I got lucky and just so happen that one of their 2018 colors is real close to how I order most of my boats. And being that 18's were rigged Lowrance I ordered one instead of a 2019.

Why are you going back to a skeeter? You just bought a new Phoenix within the last year and were raving about it.

Lets just say we had our reasons to go back to Skeeter.

Any idea when they are going to fix the stupid idea of changing the deck layout to the “team advantage” when i had the option I bought the 2017 demo boat over the 2018 because the deck! When you have been fishing and have rods on the sides and you have to open your side lids cause you need to get to your tackle it sucks!!!! i can just see an increase in accidental rod overboard situations

I love the new deck layout.
You can still put rods in the side if you want. And I have My tackle in the middle under all myrods. I can Have 18 rods on one side of the middle. Way nice to be able to sit down and open one side or the other. I don’t have to access the side Hatches unless it’s to get something I dont Use a lot.

I think I would get tired of skittles too.

well maybe I just haven't fished out of the boats with the new deck layout but after seeing it I was not impressed ill shut my mouth about it since someone has chimed in about liking the new layout until I have more experience with it

love my 21i, only thing I would change would be put a new Yammie 4stroke on it. I will never spend more than 30K on a boat! i bought my 21i with 174 hours on it and had 24K in it.
