Whats the thing in front of the passenger seat right at the deck in front of the seat? It looks like an electronic device. Never seen one before. Has a screen but does not look turned on. Is it a radio?

that boat of his is a working thru some gnarly stuff, he was casting thru tall grass and I'm sure his lure didn't even touch any water on a lot of casts. wonder if he has a special prop to cut thru all that stuff
