Anyone fished PK lately? How has it been?

Been wanting to go back to PK and fish again soon. Was wondering how its been fishing lately? Might take the family for Father’s day weekend. Thanks for any help!

Deep bite has been good for me. Especially down south. Good numbers and decent size. Shallow bite hasn’t been the greatest lately. Just a simple Texas rig has done the trick

I think the hotter weather has sent them deeper a little earlier than normal this year. I typically find a steady shallow bite through mid-to-late June, but they definitely seem to be deeper right now on the south end.

Was thinking about camping and fishing near the state park any good in that area lately? Other option was camping at Scenic Point and fishing maybe the docks along Gaine’s bend. Thanks again guys for the help. sounds like a little drop shot and t-rig will do some work out there. I did pretty good last time I was there with a T-rigged blue flake power worm.

ALot better places this time of year than pk. We stay away from it when schools out due to all the crazies! It gets insane! But if you can go during the week or just fish early and quit by 1100 its not as bad.

Forecast says, HOT with a chance of 3 foot rollers every 2 minutes....It's been rough fishing due to pleasure boaters non stop, best luck for me was on channel swings, just had to deal with jetskis and wakeboard boat waves non stop. I got to witness an old fashioned redneck fisticuffs first hand at the boat ramp one evening. (it's been crazy out there) Kayak tournament this weekend may produce some good fish.

Yeah boat traffic is always bad on the weekends I still remember from my trip last year.....ugh..... Thanks again guys might think about another lake to take the family fishing maybe Lake Bridgeport.

was the fight over onloading at the ramp? I have seen people load their boat and take 10 minutes with a long line of boats behind them but never seen a fight over it yet.

Nah, I heard one dude that was being held down screaming "you ruined my family"...He seemed pretty drunk haha I think it was just some family on a pontoon boat or something.
