That deadline was for mailed entries. They had to be postmarked by 5/31/18 or else it was $140.00 to register. I literally just registered and got confirmation that it was successful about 5 minutes before I made my post earlier today and only was charged $120.00 for it. Online is still open and still only $120.00 but now onsite or mailed entries will be $20.00 more.

Decided to fish a little on Saturday and from all the Skeeter boats I saw on the lake you would have thought the tournament had begun. Pre fishing for spots that will be packed come tournament day but can't wait. Gonna be my 7th time.

Re: Skeeter Owners tournament - 06/04/18 03:14 PM

The wife and I are in!!

It's a great time for sure. Even with all the boats, we have had no issues with other fisherman or boaters -- it seems like most folks are there for the "fun" just as much as the fishing, and it makes for a great time for all!!

Go around Lake Fork Marina looking for a Lowerance guy and have your boat there. They will either walk over and help you right then or tell you when they can help. They may have a trailer set up behind the tent, walk up to the trailer.

Also good luck on you and the kiddo getting the random draw for the shootout with the pro's.

You remember when it was held in October, they used to give out plaques for the top 10 finishers and checks.
It's gotten huge over the years, I didn't know about it until # 7 we've fished everyone since. I have fished a lot of big fish events on Fork over the years, the Skeeter is absolutely the hardest to cash in of them all. Those Skeeter boys can flat out fish. I think I'll have 3-4 secret spots, come tournament day, there will be 2-3 boats on each spot... LOL....... cry
