Was reading a previous post on here and ran across this article. Wake boats do not seem to adhere to this.

I am not a lawyer but I suspect the reason this stuff with wake and surf boats continues is that there has not been a case to set precendence yet. Once a case is settled in favor of affected boaters, the floodgates will open. Can't happen to soon in my opinion. 'spoon

Never gonna happen

Those big cruisers on Lake Texoma throw a much bigger and longer wake than any wakeboard

I would imagine it continues because no one has been severly injured enough to get a cop on the water, press the "wake" issue, go to a hospital, get a lawyer and sue.
everyone complains on the TFF but no one is seriously hurt enough by a wake boat to pursue real legal action, like the narrative above. When someone does, the landscape (waterscape) will change. Until then we will just bitch about the wake boats like we are the only people using the lake.

I was on PK a number of years ago fishing near Game Warden point and had a ski boat almost run me over, I reported it to the warden and they went down and wrote the driver a ticket for skiing within 100 ft of the docks. That is the only time I've seen or heard of a ski boater being held accountable for their dangerous actions.
