Partner and I left at 10:30 cold and wet. We used to be a lot tougher but when you hit your mid 60’s you lose a little. We both caught 7-8 keepers for 7lbs. and 8.5lbs on our 3 fish limits but that wouldn’t be good enough on Whitney. We couldn’t keep the stripers and sand bass from hitting.

I woke up and looked at the radar and decided to pass up on the tournament. Sad day.

It took 18 lbs to win, and I think over 14 to get a check. They had 208 entries, was a good turnout. We toughed out the rain and both had a little over 8 pounds. The Bohemin is always a fun tournament. The guys from West do a good job.

Our worst one for us . My grandson had to have emergency surgery Friday taking out a limonite under his left arm pit . He is only 13 and was a trooper though . We had bass in our slip at Harbor Master for the last 4 weeks and caught 2 seven pounder and 3 or so at least 5lbs . So Saturday we pulled the pontoon out of the slip and put Cajun in it . Thought it would be great . Notta LOL ! We never even got one bite . Fished the heck out of the marina as it has been full of bass . Not even a bite . It started raining and lightning so we went back in the slip . We both were soaking wet and he was so cold he started shaking . I felt sorry for him and said go sit in Paw Paws' truck and I will load the boat up . He said no I am going to help load the boat and put the pontoon back in the slip in the pouring rain . He is such a great boy , and I am proud to call him my partner . Oh well like he said next year Paw Paw .
