Unless you mean finesse sized jigs I use a Dobyns Champion 735 or a Falcon Amistad.

Dobyns 784 is hard to beat. I had a 74 falcon cara mcclelland rod that was sweet too.

a 74 falcon cara mcclelland
I use this rod for everything from jigs to swimbaits to big spinnerbaits. Love it
7.3H MS1....Double footed Fuji K guides to the top is hard to beat. This rod is overbuilt for the price range.

Bought this rod for football jigs. I does a good job for that. Use it for almost anything. Most versatile rod I've ever owned.

I have the Falcon McClelland Cara ST Amistad. It is a really good rod. But, for a fraction of the cost, I usually use my academy H2O Ethos Nano 7'3" Heavy. It is almost as sensitive, has the same guides and same reel seat. It's slightly reduced sensitivity is probably due to the painted blank. Both feel identical when you are using them. Also....you can buy four of the Ethos rods for the price of the Cara ST.

3rd vote for the Dobyns DX 784 ML rod. GREAT for football jigs and small to medium swimbaits. Hope this helps. Tight lines, keep safe and good luck.

Not everyone is crazy like me but I take my fb jig serious. I have 2 - 71 heavy NRX rods that use almost exclusively for football jigs.

I have went through over 20 rods to find the best football rod for me. The Flacon Cara heavy jig rod is a really good one as many have said, but the Dobyns extreme 784 ML is my favorite right now. The old Powell Endurance 714cef has the best backbone and tip imo, but needs to be about 4 longer. The Powell 775 is a good rod for a good price too.

dobyns Extreme 745 or 784. The deep fishing I like the 784 for the extra length.

Power Tackle...PT FB it is made for football head jigs.
I like the Dobyns 784 Extreme for Carolina rigging.
Fitzgerald ledge rod, for big jigs and a stunner for the lighter ones
