ABOUT HOW MANY POUNDS OF SOFT PLASTICS DO YOU OWN?

Title says it all.

I am not just talking about what you keep in your boat, I am talking about whats in your boat, garage, truck, or wherever else you keep them.

Just wanna see how out of line I am with my obsession. LOL

I used to have a couple hundred but then I donated over half to the Lake Fork Sportsman's Association for their high school fishing team tackle program last year.

And so this spring the kids are using them for fishing.

Probably 50# too much!

Each year I will buy at least 10 times what I use that year. About 10% of the stuff not used in the first year will be used in the 2nd year and about 20% of the stuff not used in the first 2 years will eventuallly be used at some point in the future and 10% of all stuff will be thrown away before ever using or opening them. So starting all this around 1972 the amount purchaed by year looks like a steep bell curve. I have no idea what I have.

My scales don't go that high. I keep telling myself to not buy any more until I take inventory of what I already have. Yeah, that doesn't work.

I probably have 500 pounds of soft plastics other than the ones in the boat.

We are moving next week so I had to gather, organize and box up all of my fishing gear and baits. It's not like I didn't think I had a considerable amount of soft baits but I had no idea I would fill up seven 17 gallon storage boxes. Probably should mention that I only spend about 10% of my time on the water fishing with soft plastics. Probably time to slow that roll.

I would estimate 150-200 lbs. My wife says I have a problem and might need some professional help

Some very comforting responses here. Now I know if I end up being committed to a mental institution I will at least be surrounded by like minded people.

If my catches weighed as much as my tackle I'd never lose.

I think I fall in this range. It is surprising how quickly they add up.

I have 1 six inch lizard and a small tube of super glue. It don't weigh much at all. The lizard I mean.

Probably 200 pounds and I donated about 1.5 times that to a high school team back in January.

So whatever approx 3,000 packages of plastics weigh. Maybe 4 oz each so about 700# I suppose. I loaded up a bunch of boxes and put them on a pallet. The forklift struggled to get it up on the rack.

Maybe 10-12 pounds. Maybe. I only utilize a handful of different plastics in just a couple of colors. I’m a bit of a minimalist, I hate messes and keeping it simple works. I’ll just begin to stock up on the plastics I do use and wrack the extras in the garage.

Way to much. I just filled 4 tackle boxes for some kids and didn't put a dent in it. They had to help each other carry the tackle box.

Not much but i also never catch anything.

Went through mine not long ago and determined that if I fished every day for the rest of my life and lived a long time, I wouldn't run out. I good to know that I am not alone.

Probably close to 1,000 lbs. What's funny is that when the wife and I got together and merged all of our tackle, she had almost as much as I did. And most of them the same brands and colors Lots of Zoom and LFT products. Most of the LFT's aren't made any more.

UM how much does a 8X4 foot peg board with 12 inch hangers and everyone is loaded to the brim weigh? Cant be more than a few pounds right?

We have six of those plus tons more in big tupperware containers. Each board holds about 100 lbs of plastics.
