Spot...look at the location on the hinge of the mouth. Did it happen to have a tooth patch?

Didn't think to check. If it was/is a spot, I unofficially shattered Belton lake record. Fish weighed 6.3 lbs.
It does not look like spot

Caught this one this week I’m pretty sure it’s a LMB but the small mouth and the dorsal fins bridged between? What do y’all think? Forgot to check for the patch on its tongue
Florida LMB, they have a smaller mouth
Tooth patch is optional. Both pictures are LMB. For mouth size, you have to close the mouth. If the back margin of the jaw extends past the back of the eye, it is a LMB. If it only extends to the midpoint or just to the edge of the margin, it is likely (not guaranteed) a spot. But again, look at the jawline overlap, not the edge of the mouth.
Both appear to be very pretty largemouth. Some largemouth now have rough patches on the tongue so it's not a reliable indicator. Previous comments about the jaw length relative to the eye are accurate.

Honestly, if you ever catch a spot that's over 3- 3 1/2 pounds, you won't have to ask. They don't look anything like a largemouth. I don't know who this guy is but here is an example.

Didn’t think to check?!?! That’s the first thing I look at! Besides, I’m pretty sure that at 6.3 that would be a Texas state record as well. But I’m leaning LMB - not a great pic however.

It's easy, if there is a gap behind the dorsal fin it's 99.9% LMB. Both can have "teeth" the jaw hinge as mentioned is absolutely correct
