Hard to tell if this was in Fayette slot. What would happen if something like this was caught in a tournament?

Absolutely a legal fish if the end of that piece of tail goes over 18 and you caught it like that.

Probably nothing. The state law says to close the mouth of the fish and make it as long as possible.

I know Scott. The law is the same irregardless of what shape the tail is in. Close the mouth and make it as long as possible. I've caught fish at Fork that had obviously had the tail cut. Wasn't in a T tho.

Would be more concerned weighing in am under that may have had tail altered. An over is an over.

Fayette is 14" or under and 24" or over... And if you bring in something in the slot, over 14 or under 24 in a tourney or just get caught with one, you get a ticket from TP&W..
