Ray Hubbard Sunday tourneys?

Ray Hubbard Sunday tourneys? - 02/19/18 05:36 PM

Anyone interested in doing Sunday tourneys on Ray Hubbard? Its really hard for me to take off work on Saturdays so I have to miss out on most of the normal trails. Even if it only ends up being a few boats for some fun money. $50-$100 entry..

Re: Ray Hubbard Sunday tourneys? - 02/20/18 11:04 PM

Let’s do it. Who ever wants to join just show up. Team or single.

Sunday March 4th. Safe light start. In line to weigh in by 3. $50 buy in and $10 Big bass pot. Should we do winner takes all except for $50 for second place to get money back? This seems like the best way to make it worth fishing a small turn out. Thoughts?

Will take a vote on ramp choice. Most votes by March 1st wins.

I vote Terry Park ...

I vote Chandlers and winner take all, less $50 for 2nd place.

Terry park is terrible if there is wind (whichthere normally is) I would vote 66 but it's shut down, so chandlers has my vote.

Re: Ray Hubbard Sunday tourneys? - 03/01/18 12:04 AM

So it looks like storms on Sunday.. Lets just move it to the following Sunday March 11th. The extra week might help the bite a little anyways!!

** New Date 3/11 **
** safe light to 3pm **
** $50 entry $10 BB **
** Chandlers wins ramp **
Winner takes everything except $50 for second place and BB money.

Also if anyone has a scale we can use bring it. I didn't realize how expensive some of them are. We can just go Scott Martin Challenge style and weigh them in the same weigh bag I guess.

I keep my boat on a lift at another marina. Will you allow someone to motor to chandlers and pay entry fees and do a livewell Check before leaving? Is this team or individual format? I have a 14 year old son that’s dying to tournament fish. Let me know if this is possible and thank you.

team or indi?

Re: Ray Hubbard Sunday tourneys? - 03/05/18 03:21 PM

Yeah you can ramp where ever. Bring the son!!

As long as you pay by the time I take off. Ill probably just stay at the ramp until the last boat wanting to fish pays. Everyone has to be at the ramp by 3 to weigh. Weigh in stops at 3:15.

Just trying to have a little local competition on Sundays. You can fish as a team or Individual.

Will do a live well check in the morning too.

If we can get 10 boats that's $450 bucks not including BB. To the winner.

Thanks for changing from the 4th. Was out all day yesterday, the fishing was terrible. See you on the 11th. I still vote for Chandlers.

Re: Ray Hubbard Sunday tourneys? - 03/05/18 08:56 PM

Heard the bite was non existent from a buddy who was out there too. See yall Sunday.

I'll be in a Silver Titan or a Triton 189trx depending on when you get there. Ill probably tie up and take money at the dock that way I can take off after last person pays.

Bring exact change too if possible. $50 entry and $10 Big Bass.

Fished from first light to about 1 pm yesterday..Not one bite.I saw about a dozen others and saw nobody catch a fish. Talk at the boat ramp was much the same. I might be interested in giving some cash away on the 11th. banana

Looks like it there will be no rain but high winds. Go figure. I think if its gonna blow 20-25+ we should reschedule. Thoughts?

We can decide Saturday evening based on the forecast.. Showing 15mph North at take off and 20mph by noon. Might not be to bad on the south side of the 30 bridges. Choppy part will be going to Chandlers for weigh in.

15 - 20 mph is standard operating procedure on Ray Hubbard. The tournament needs to proceed.

No sand-baggin Ted, seriously can't catch'em in cold muddy water. Maybe onesies and twosies but that's it.

so any word if this is going to happen? Me and my partner have no problem fishing in 15-20 mph wind

Re: Ray Hubbard Sunday tourneys? - 03/09/18 09:35 PM

Im in if everyone else is. Looks like 15mph for the most part. 25 plus is another story. Just didn't want to go to Hubbard if no one came out because of the wind.

I can go to Athens where the fish are further along and the winds are a non factor.

With the the time going forward it looks like day light will be around 5:30 right? So Ill take money till 5:15 or so. If you want to trailer just come by chandlers and pay first and then be back to chandlers by 3 to weigh.

Ok. So since the wind is going to be blowing to hard tomorrow looks like we are gonna have to try again at a later date. Hopefully the weather will cooperate one of these days... I’ll be at fork tomorrow I guess.
