I swear the more I try to learn about fishing the more I confuse myself. Mid 40’s water temp and g started in the back of a pocket with a moving bait. Both are beating the bank, I’d figure with the cold weather and water that they’d have to look deeper

If you haven’t found The Bass Zone check it out. I found it this morning and watched the 1on 1 show and it was great. It just finished and I came straight here to make sure people knew about it.

If the water was clearer I think you would. Water looked fairly dingy, and the was current positioning the fish on shallow rocks with a ditch.

They kind of both commented early in the show why the bank was the deal and as James said, that high flow, muddy water pushes fish up. 5 to 6 feet for the most part was unfishable except in the pockets that didn't have the mud rolling in. Even then as Wesley said, that lake is notorious for shallow fish. That and those pockets were pretty shallow for the most part. It's what we see in East Texas where the water is in the 40s and we are catching them a foot deep. That water is just warmer due to it being more sensitive to change.

Strader knows his fish.
