Make sure to get your boat real in close to it.

No but seriously I would suggest trying to find the warmest water you can and fish real slow.

I was up in Pecan last weekend and it was 60 degrees. I didn't get a bite. I did see a few small crappie being caught. Tons on people in there and bank beaters everywhere!

I have not found this to be successful. I haven’t seen every hump on the lake but I have yet to find one with any structure or cover on them. Nor were there any bait fish. Just a barren hump. Nobody likes a barren hump.

A hump is structure.

Still though, never seen a fish or bait on the ones I have checked out.

Anyone have any good Lewisville Reports for Largemouth?

Re: Lewisville Help - 02/26/18 07:50 PM

Part of issue with humps on Lewisville is the hybrids are on them a lot and the large mouth cant compete with those water pigs for bait, they dont want to burn the calories. Deeper rock that doesnt really attract the hybrids is better on LL

Good to know. Anyone been out lately and have any water temps? Talked with some ppl at the Little Elm ramp but sounds like mostly Sandbass and hybrids/

I was on the LL on Monday the 28th and saw the temp go up to about 55. I believe if I remember right it was by the old dam.

I made plenty of bankrunners quite mad when I idled by them. They all expected me to kill engine, get on front TM, and cruise by without making a sound. How could I have done that? I had "FEEL THE NOISE" playing in the 8-track....

How far back into Pecan can you get with a boat?

Pecan is fire but you have to get in there very quietly - better to have some kind of push stick. It's like a fish bowl.. when they hear you coming they just go behind you roflmao

It has been tough for sure. Had a good day yesterday though, relatively speaking. It’s my firm belief that they are still reeling from the massive rise in lake level from cold water in a very short period of time. They are still scattered.

I didn’t get a bite all day yesterday.

I caught a few small ones yesterday. Every cove I pulled into was covered with buffalo feeding at the top of the water.
