Big Fish Bobby Lane

Big Fish Bobby Lane - 02/02/18 03:15 PM

Bobby Lane dropped the hammer on the Kissimmee chain yesterday at the Bass Open. He had 31lbs and 2nd place is at 21lbs. He could not fish today and likely make the 12 cut.

Just amazed at the smack down by the local pro on the rest of the field. If he keeps it up, it will be amazing the gap that could be created.

I just read he’s got about 10lbs this morning already.

He went from being the 1st boat out yesterday to the last boat out today (#202). That may have a big effect as he was running through about 3 locks to get to Lake Kissimmee from Lake Toho.

He also had a 10lb lead on first and 15+lb lead on 12th. With 10lbs in the well he has pretty much guaranteed himself a spot for the final day and is most likely still in the lead even if he doesn't catch another fish today.

I believe Bobby is due to have a break out year. After winning MLF he may be more focused at the task at hand. The guy catches them everywhere. Hard to believe he has not been in the running for AOY but you can say that about 30% of the Elite guys. Bobby can really get dialed in on a pattern inside a pattern. Greta start to the year.
