Favorite winter crankbait?

Favorite winter crankbait? - 02/01/18 04:46 PM

I’ve been having most of my luck cranking the past month and with temps looking like they’re only going up from here I assume the bite will only improve. What’s yalls favorite winter crankbait? Mine would be the strike king 1.5 flat or the shad rap of course.

Berkley Wild Thang 8.5 and the 6th Sense Cloud 9 C10.

I like the Bill NBorman Middle N and DLN for most of my cranking this time of year. That is, if you can get the DD22 out of my hands, or the 10XD or 8XD. Hope this helps. Tight lines, keep safe and good luck. OH, the Bandit 200 also does a job when they won't hit the above lures.

So you guys just pay $30+ for the pre rap wiggle warts on eBay? I’ve never used one and would love to just not wanting to spend a small fortune for something that might catch fish in february and March.

I usually have most of these tied on in the winter / early spring as far as crankbaits go.

Rat-L-Trap (or other lipless), Spro Little John, Bomber Flat A, Wiggle Wart, Bandit 100/200 Mistake, H20 or Xcite Sq bill.

30 bucks for a wiggle wart? Thought all those old cheap baits wouldn’t catch fish ?

If you don't have a stock pile of em beggars can't be choosers. I'm lucky to have a bunch of em. The ones I get beat up get a repaint. No, they're not for sale.
