Went to get my boat trailer inspected yesterday,was informed that as of September 1,only trailers weighing 7500 and up were required to be inspected.

Are you sure? I haven't seen it in writing anywhere.

When i purchased my boat this past January I had to get the trailer inspected. Just did the renewal and found out it didn't need inspected anymore. IIRC it's rated at 5k or so.

Still have to pay the fee, though. But yes, they removed the inspection requirement.
