So far, I agree. I'll still be doing my annual stock-up on Seaguar.

I thought day 1 was good and stocked up on Seaguar (surprised they arent sold out yet honestly), but the other days have been less than impressive. I am hoping they sneak another good one in before New years.

Yeah pretty sure I got the same price on 1,000 yards of Invizx 2 months ago on Amazon or eBay.

I agree, the Tatsu is a nice price, everything else not that much better than year round pricing elsewhere.

Yeah, but how old is that line? I think TW goes through enough that the line I bought is not months/years old. Good enough for me

2 or 3 years ago they were doing 40 and 50% off seagaur, now 30. Not enough to make me get anything yet. I will probably still get a 1000yd spool but will wait until hopefully something good comes out.

Are these Powell rods worth getting at $99?

Yes. I love the powell rods I have.

Powell is clearing them out at $85:00 on their web site with free shipping if you buy two or more. They have a new model coming out in January.

I think they just use this as an opportunity to move overstock inventory. If it's overstock, it's usually for a reason.

Yup. Overstock and items that are being discontinued.

The max series is being replaced by the endurance series and they are already available now.

Looks like they went back up. I got two yesterday for $170 with free shipping. Not sure if I have confirmation on that yet though. Never used one. Hope they aren't too bad - if I could fill some slots in the quiver with sub $100 rods, I could probably pull off 2 or 3 in the $400 to $500 range.

This sale is pretty sad. You're right, it just helps them get rid of unwanted inventory.

I bet they would not since it is the vendor of record. In fact, they probably called Powell with a big WTF when they noticed they were being offered for sale by the vendor for something close to what TW probably paid . . . hence the reason they went back up to $119.99 from $84.99.
