It's been a dink fest lately, nothing over 2-2.5 lb.'s pounds from anyone I talk to, but fish can be caught. Not sure where the big ones are, they're hiding for some reason.

LConn4 had a good day out there last week.

With the clouds, cool front/people turning on their heaters=likely plant running) I would go.

Worst case scenario--there's two other lakes right there and another two just down the road.

I would hit Welsh instead. Much more consistent and on a Tuesday should not be much boat traffic.

I pulled a 7+ out of there on Sunday. However, my numbers we're pretty low.

Definitely not the same ole Monte. I went about 10 days ago. Caught one over 4, but everything else was small. If you like catching 30 10” fish, I’d go there all day thought lol.

I don't often throw a 7 inch swimbait, but I was throwing one last Friday. I only got bit on it twice, but those two bites had me shaking. Missed them both but kept throwing it when I knew I could have caught more on the 5 inch baits which I had used earlier in the day with success. I was wanting one big fish. Monti is still Monti. banana

Ripnlip - I hope you had a good day of fishing!

I have heard that we Texans are "lucky" to be able to fish power plant lakes. That they don't make any money off of them. If people complain too much, that they may just close them down. Well, the controlling entities won't have to worry about it much longer. When the plant stops producing, it will become just another lake and no one will bother fishing them in the colder months.
