Fishing 20’ creek channel

Fishing 20’ creek channel - 11/06/17 01:57 AM

This time of the year I really feel like I should be targeting deeper creek channels but if it isn’t lined with timber I have zero confidence in catching fish. What bait should I be using to attract fish as my xd15 strike king isn’t getting it done and can’t get texas rigged soft plastics to make it to the bottom. A heavy jog? Swim bait? Or quit trying it’s not summer...

C rig we caught a 8lb bass in 23’ of water or just go up in weight on your tx rig

Drag the lip of your creek channel with a 1/2 oz Crig. 20 ft. of water is not difficult to keep that rig down there. Long line it on slack line with braid. Move it a couple of feet and strip line. Keep it in the water as long as possible. If you are following a contour in and out you will get a chance in a short time to take up some slack line. Feel for the weight of the fish each time you start to move the bait again. Then repeat. I like the big Brush Hog through the stumps and what ever else that may be laying on the lip of the creek.

Be sure to watch the video Fall Fishing 2017. Up the rivers and creeks is where it is happening.

This time of year, a spoon in those depths can be good
